Cold-room design starts with
the product load—not room size alone.
A useful cold-room proposal considers target temperature, room dimensions, incoming product, pull-down requirement, door openings, ambient conditions and operating pattern together.
From requirement to preliminary system selection
Two rooms with the same dimensions can require very different refrigeration capacity. The stored product, incoming load, target temperature and operating pattern all affect the heat load.
GTON collects the practical project inputs first, then uses them to organize panel, door, refrigeration, control and installation requirements for engineering review and quotation.
Build the solution around the operation
Each area below is considered as part of the same requirement rather than as an isolated product choice.
Application & Temperature
Define whether the room is for chilled, frozen or special-temperature storage and identify the target operating range.
Room Envelope
Length, width, height, panel requirement, floor condition and door size form the basic room envelope.
Product Load
Daily incoming quantity and incoming product temperature are considered because pull-down load can be significant.
Door & Operating Pattern
Door openings, operating hours and traffic affect infiltration and real system duty.
Refrigeration System
Condensing unit, evaporator, controls and refrigerant-side components are selected after the load basis is established.
Installation & Commissioning
Site access, drainage, electrical supply, piping route and commissioning requirements are coordinated before execution.
Information that makes selection faster
You do not need every answer before contacting us. These inputs simply help reduce unnecessary back-and-forth.
Attach it with the quotation request. It can help us understand dimensions, utilities, capacity and replacement constraints more quickly.

A practical route from requirement to execution
Application, capacity, space, utilities and operating priorities are collected.
Suitable product families, models and technical options are compared against the requirement.
Dimensions, layout, utilities, delivery and installation conditions are checked where relevant.
The selected scope is organized into a commercial and technical quotation for review.
Before you send the requirement
Can cold-room capacity be selected from room volume only?
Room volume is only one input. Product load, target temperature, incoming temperature, door openings, ambient conditions and pull-down time can materially change the required refrigeration capacity.
What information should I send for a preliminary cold-room proposal?
Send the application, target temperature, room dimensions, daily incoming load, location and door/operating details. A drawing or site photo is also useful when available.
Is a -18°C freezer room sized the same way as a chilled room?
No. Lower operating temperature changes the transmission, infiltration and product-load conditions, so the refrigeration requirement should be evaluated separately.
Does the website calculator replace final engineering?
No. Any future preliminary sizing tool should be treated as an initial estimate. Final selection should be checked against the actual site, product load, design conditions and equipment data.

Have an equipment or project requirement?
Send the details once. Our sales and engineering team can use the same requirement to identify products, models and the next technical step.
